Dr. Hui Kang

HuiDr. Hui Kang is a Chinese Medical Doctor (M.D.) with over 30 years of clinical experience. She completed eight years of medical school in China, where she obtained her M.D. and M.Sc degrees, specializing in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. For 5 years Dr. Kang was a Professor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Beijing University. She taught acupuncture, co-authored publications, and also practiced there. Dr. Kang relocated to Montreal, Canada in 1993 and became a certified acupuncturist, She gave lectures to medical students at McGill University and Quebec School of Acupuncture in Montreal, and established a reputable practice.

In 2000 Dr. Hui Kang was certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the USA, and became a registered licensed Acupuncturist in Pennsylvania. She is the only doctor in Pennsylvania board certified by the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), specializing in infertility.

Dr. Kang also has treated many patients successfully for pain problems, allergies, stress, and cancer support, using acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutrition.She is a member of The Foundation for Wellness Professionals, as well as, specializes in Infertility. Dr. Kang puts her passion and energy into helping as many people as possible in their quest for optimum health and in educating them in the benefits of Oriental Medicine.

Kearney DeFillipo Acupuncturist, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac.

HuiKearney DeFillipo is a licensed acupuncturist in Pennsylvania. After graduating with a degree in Asian Studies from Swarthmore College, Kearney earned her Masters degree in Acupuncture Studies from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Glenside, PA. Kearney has traveled throughout Asia, including four months studying Chinese medicine at Beijing University in China. She utilizes Master Tung's distal needling and Classical Five Element Acupuncture in her treatments. Kearney treats patients with a variety of disorders, specializing in all pain conditions, allergies, women's issues, and emotional and chronic conditions. Kearney uses gentle needling techniques in her treatments and also utilizes the tools of cupping, tui na, and gua sha when appropriate. Kearney has seen firsthand with her self and her patients how acupuncture has the ability to improve the quality of one's life. She also believes in eating nutritiously and exercising regularly. Kearney loves to cook, travel, and spend time outdoors with her husband and dog.
